Our next unique memorial service launches in one month, on June 24 2021, on one of Elon Musk’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rockets.
The rocket will launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida USA. Aeternum’s bespoke ashes satellite will orbit the Earth for around five years, during which time relatives will be able to track their loved ones’ progress via our Satellite Tracking App. Once the customers’ loved ones reach the end of their journey, they will re-enter the Earth’s atmosphere, lighting up the sky as a shooting star. During this final stage of the unique memorial service, the ashes will symbolically scatter across the Earth in a majestic final tribute to those on board.
The unique memorial service will spend approximately five years in Low Earth Orbit, after which the spacecraft will re-enter the atmosphere and burn up, appearing as a shooting star to observers below.
Please stay tuned for further updates, including a live launch video on the day.
Our Shooting Star service allows you to send ashes into space easily and affordably. If you’re interested in sending ashes into space (including on our next Shooting Star Launch in 2022), or any of our other bespoke services, please get in touch with Aeternum today.
