Engraving

You will be able to write your message of up to 200 characters (including spaces). This message could chronicle the life of a lost loved one or be a personal message for yourself or someone close to you. Your words will be laser etched onto one of the outer aluminium panels of our spacecraft, in Arial font size 8 (as seen on Microsoft Office Word).

Once the etching process is complete, a picture of the completed panel, with your message, will be photographed and emailed to you. This will mark the first of several regular updates on the mission’s progress, right up to a live video feed of the launch. After launch, you will be able to track the spacecraft and your words on our complementary Satellite Tracking Service , as they orbit the Earth. Eventually the spacecraft will re-enter and burn-up in the atmosphere, causing your message to flash across the sky, appearing as a shooting star to observers on the ground.
